Guided Group Tours
Explore the Museum, including fire trucks and fire and rescue gear and particpate in the interactives throughout the Museum as your group tours the Museum....
Self-guided tours are appropriate for families (with less than 10 family members) and individuals. If you plan on visiting the Museum with a group of ten or more, please see the Museum's polices for "guided tours" below.

Guided tours are required for groups consisting of ten or more individuals. A seasonal picnic area is also available for groups of ten or more. Guided tours and the picnic facilities must be booked at least three weeks in advance and are booked on a first-come, first-serve basis. To check the availability and current rates for guided tours or to book a guided tour, please contact the Museum staff at 518-822-1875 or email us your request using the "Contact Us” form on this website.

Guided Group tours for K-3: The Museum’s tour for children in this age group consists of a guided tour of the Museum and also includes interactive programming during the tour to spark interest and keep the children motivated. Interactives done during the tour include the bucket brigade and a parade activity, as well as creative play on selected fire trucks. During their time at the Museum, children also participate in programming in the Museum’s McCadam Cheese Discovery Room. This program includes learning when to dial 9-1-1, how to dial 9-1-1 identifying fire hazards in the home and re-enforcing craft projects that are completed in the Discovery Room during the visit.

Other Guided Group Tours: Whether you’re a senior citizens group, a Cub Scout group, a pre-school group or an antique apparatus collectors group, the Museum can offer you a guided tour that will be enjoyable and educational for your members. Please contact us for further information. Contact the Museum staff at 518-822-1875 or email us your potential tour date using the "Contact Us” form on this website.
